1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Leonardo AI Tutor (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service & AI Disclaimer

Leonardo AI Tutor is an artificial intelligence-powered study assistant designed to help students understand academic concepts. You acknowledge and agree that:

AI Limitations: The AI may occasionally generate incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information ("hallucinations"). You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of the AI's output against official course materials.
Not Official Material: This Service is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of Politecnico di Torino or its faculty.
No Academic Guarantees: We make no guarantees regarding your academic performance, exam results, or grades as a result of using this Service.

3. Acceptable Use & Academic Integrity

You agree to use the Service for personal, educational purposes only. You agree not to:

Share your account credentials with others.
Use the Service to cheat during live examinations or violate your university's code of academic integrity.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or disrupt the Service's infrastructure or API connections.
Upload highly sensitive, illegal, or malicious documents.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without a refund.

4. Subscriptions, Payments & EU Right of Withdrawal

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Payments are processed securely via our third-party provider (Stripe).

Waiver of Withdrawal Right: Under EU Consumer Law, you typically have a 14-day right to withdraw from online purchases. However, because Leonardo AI Tutor is a digital service, by subscribing and immediately accessing the AI platform, you explicitly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal.
Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Account Settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. We do not provide partial refunds for unused days within a billing cycle.

5. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alan Offer and Leonardo AI Tutor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, academic failure, lost data, or server downtime.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Turin, Italy.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
